Air-actuated Valco on/off valves for gases feature quality engineering, precision machining, and extremely low internal volume (< 2 µl), making them the ideal choice in the most demanding applications.
The valve needle is made from a special high strength alloy. Seals are fluorocarbon, with valve bodies machined from chromatographic grade stainless steel, ensuring long lifetime in even the most demanding situations.
The on/off function is self-explanatory; in prime/purge models, carrier flows around the needle when the valve is closed, relieving back pressure from the column. When the valve opens, carrier vents to waste.
Standard models have 1/16" fittings, and provide leak-tight operation up to 500 psi at 100°C. Standard bore is .020", with a .030" bore model available for high flow applications.
