We have developed the capacity to encase PEEK®, FEP, or ETFE tubing with up to 1/2" (1" diameter) of a tungsten-filled polymer with 91% of the radiation blocking efficiency of lead. WIth the shielding removed at the ends, the tubing can be used with our entire range of fittings to connect, for instance, cylcotron to stream selector to hot boxes to treatment areas. The shielding can be stripped away with a fingernail, so there is no risk of damaging the inner tubing with a wire stripper or knife.
