Injection w/End, Heart Cut to Column 2, Front Cut to Detector

This technique is useful when late eluting components require an additional column or a different type of column for adequate separation.

The sample loop is filled in Position A, then switched to Position B to inject the contents of the loop onto Column 1. The front cut enters the detector at port 4. The valve is then switched back to Position A, and the heartcut and end cut enter Column 2 for separation and detection.
