Sample injection with end and heart cut to column 2 and front cut to detector

Two position valve application – 10 port valve

This technique is useful when late eluting components require an additional column or a different type of column for adequate separation.

Sample is injected onto Column 1. The front cut enters the detector at port 4. The valve is then switched, and the heartcut and end cut enter Colum 2 for separation and detection.
