Dead-end flowpath –
SD configuration

Multiposition valves – low pressure
MW Type

SD valves select one of 4 to 16 dead-ended streams. The selected stream flows from the outlet to a sample valve, pressure sensor, detector, column, etc. The same flowpath can also be used to direct one stream to a number of outlets in applications such as fraction collection. See application suggestion.

Actuation

Valves can be automated with pneumatic or electric actuators. Manual actuation is not recommended. Read more about actuators.

Standoffs

Multiposition GC valves usually require a standoff - an extension between the valve and actuator which allows the valve to be mounted in the heated zone while the actuator or handle remains outside at ambient temperature. Standoffs are available in lengths of 2", 3" 4", and 6".

Consult the factory for product number and pricing for the following options:

Standard valve body material is Nitronic 60 stainless steel. Other materials are available: Hastelloy C, Inconel 600, Monel 400, Nickel 200, Nitronic 50, titanium, and zirconium.
